## Esports + MooreCo's Thrive Philosophy
## How do esports programs meet the developmental needs of Career & Technical Education (CTE) students?
Research shows that gaming in childhood can translate to success and valuable skills in the tech field as adults. High school esports programs provide opportunities for students to develop digital literacy skills, practice stress management and goal setting, and derive a sense of self-esteem and community.
Esports programs have become a unique platform for diversity, equity, and inclusion. They also allow students to develop a well-rounded skillset without the physical or financial demands certain sports require. Through teamwork, conflict resolution, emotional regulation, empathy, sportsmanship, resilience, and a sense of community, students acquire important life skills that can positively impact their personal and professional development.
## How does MooreCo outfit a competitive esports arena to meet the developmental needs of students?
With $16 million per year in scholarships at more than 170 colleges with varsity programs, esports programs are rapidly becoming an essential part of campus culture. They provide a space for individuals to connect, share experiences, and develop meaningful relationships with peers. They offer a sense of community where participants can find support, encouragement, and share their passion.
MooreCo offers ergonomic furniture that powers all-day activity and creates environments that inspire teamwork and build self-confidence. Esports lounges strike a balance between prolonged comfort and appropriate sensory stimulation with micro-movements that improve upright spinal posture and mental focus.

Intense gaming sessions or tournaments can last hours and are physically daunting. [Elate Electric Height Adjustable Desks](https://www.moorecoinc.com/product/elate-electric-height-adjustable-desk-2-leg/?utm_source=thriveblog) transform from a seated desk to a standing desk with the touch of a finger. With the option of a standing desk, gamers benefit from increased energy, improved mental focus, and a boost in productivity.
Pair with the[Elate Task Chair](https://www.moorecoinc.com/product/elate-task-chair/?utm_source=thriveblog) for a completely customizable gaming station. This intuitive chair offers hours of comfort with a weight-sensitive tilt mechanism, six-position backrest height options for optimal lumbar support, six-position seat depth options, seven-position armrest pads with forward to backward adjustment, and four-position armrest pads with left to right adjustment.
## How does MooreCo outfit a social esports lounge to meet the developmental needs of students?
Esports communities are typically welcoming and inclusive, making them accessible to individuals from diverse backgrounds and demographics. This inclusivity fosters a sense of acceptance and unity among participants. Providing a space for gatherings creates a vibrant atmosphere and reinforces the feeling of being part of a larger community.
MooreCo products enable movement, rest, and collaboration so that students can compete comfortably while gaining friendships and building community. With a combination of soft seating, media spaces, and ergonomic chairs and desks, MooreCo products encourage students to move throughout the space to find their optimal setup.
